Photography and its Discontents

Look, I thought the whole Nikon v. Canon thing was tiresome back in 1974 when I was working for my high school yearbook.

Photography and its discontents march forward. Today we have digital v. analog. We even have a documentary film about it.

If you cut all the simplistic, contradictory, erroneous, and silly claims about digital photography from this feature-length film, you’d have an excellent (short) examination of (mostly young) photographers getting seriously into film and doing some seriously cool work. I’m all for it! Just don’t get all Nikony v. Canony on me.

On a hilarious note, this film was filmed with digital cameras.
